Kolorseal and Quickslide recently joined forces on an impressive, bespoke project in Shrewsbury, combining their expertise to help self-builder Alan Terrill create a stunning single-storey extension that harmonised beautifully with its natural surroundings.

The installation featured high quality products and services from both companies, including bespoke coloured uPVC casement and sliding sash frames in RAL 6005 – Moss Green. The result was an outstanding overall finish that has beautifully transformed Alan’s home.

When choosing windows for the project, Alan was particularly impressed by the extensive range of colours, the variety of available products, and the rapid lead times. He opted for one large, fixed window, one small triangular window, and two vertical sliding sash windows from Quickslide.

When it came to delivery on colour, the Quickslide team had full confidence in Kolorseal’s reliable five-day turnaround for colour coating. Additionally, Kolorseal’s ability to colour coat windows, doors, and roofline elements in virtually any shade provided Alan with optimum colour choice for his project.

Alan commented:

“I saw Quickslide’s advert in a trade magazine and was struck by their transparent pricing. After being let down by other companies, I decided to get a second quote from them. Their quote was not only lower than my first one, but they also offered me more options. I was particularly impressed by their extensive colour selection – unlike other companies that only offered a fixed range of colours, Quickslide provided a choice from many different colour charts.”

For bespoke installations like this, Kolorseal now offers additional reassurance through the Certificate of Authenticity. This provides customers like Quickslide with stronger support and guarantees for the end user, reflecting the colour coating specialist’s confidence in the longevity of their service.

Alan continued, “The quote and answers to my queries came back very quickly. I placed my order just before going on my summer holiday, and by the time I returned, they were ready for delivery.”

Alan is involved with an organisation called ‘The Folly Fellowship’ and the timber-frame, single-room extension now serves as a library, where he stores all the back issues of the society’s magazine ‘Follies’, as well as his large collection of books follies and unusual architecture.

Tom Swallow, Sales Director at Quickslide commented, “We regularly depend on Kolorseal’s consistent five-day turnaround for colour coating. On diverse projects of all shapes and sizes, we know that the Kolorseal team goes the extra mile to get it right for us.”

Deborah Hendry, Managing Director at Kolorseal, added, “This project demonstrates the high level of support we provide to our customers when projects require definitive colours and prompt delivery. Collaborating with manufacturers such as Quickslide, who share our commitment to quality and service, demonstrates our capabilities with vibrant colours and our ability to confidently breathe new life into renovation projects such as this.”
