As part of the 20 Year Anniversary Celebrations, Kolorseal will be supporting Forget-Me-Not Children’s Hospice, which is based in Huddersfield. Throughout this year there will be competitions, initiatives and fun events which will all be held to support the charity which is local to the company.
For Deborah Hendry, supporting a local cause means helping to bolster families that need need vital help at a very difficult time whilst also giving back to the community. Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life-shortening conditions, as well as their families and those living with grief from the loss of a child.
Deborah comments, “This is a genuine commitment to the cause and the team is wholeheartedly behind the choice of Forget-Me-Not. In our 20th year we all wanted to partner with a charity that has an exceptional social cause – one which we could all support and strengthen our ties to the local community.”
By providing superb nursing care including hydrotherapy, days out, memory making and end of life care, the Forget-Me-Not team also offers bereavement counselling, whilst helping families to make the most of every moment together.
Russell House is a purpose-built hospice based in the heart of Huddersfield, but families also can receive in-home care through the Hospice at Home service, as well as hospitals across West Yorkshire.
Deborah concludes, “Children with life-limiting conditions who need hospice care face tremendous physical and emotional challenges. As a corporate champion of Forget-Me-Not Children’s Hospice, the Kolorseal team is hoping to raise awareness and financial support as we head through our 20th Year Anniversary.”
Already plans are in place to hold a monthly ‘Kolorful Raffle’ where a member of the team will put their name in a hat with their preferred colour alongside. Deborah will then pick a winner and a donation will be made to the charity.
