Lion shaped door knocker

The excitement of 12 new colours being launched from the house of Farrow and Ball is sure to shake up the house design sector.

According to Deborah Hendry, Managing Director at Kolorseal, these colours will be everything a homeowner will want both inside and out.

Earthy reds, deep greens and icy blues, make this a colour chart to absorb, when it comes to renovation window and door projects.

“House design colours are not like fashion design, where things change with the seasons, ….window and door colours tend to stay around for much longer periods of time and certainly those belonging to the ever fashionable Farrow and Ball.

Favoured by many property owners the Farrow and Ball ranges are carefully structured with new introductions and some older classics being reinvented.”

Being able to replicate Farrow and Ball colours in aluminium makes the Kolorseal services attractive for matching existing upvc windows and doors in foils.

These latest creations from the renowned paint company have taken two years to create and launch.  They will join 132 other established tones to create a stunning variety of colours that will make any property stand out for all the right reasons.

While Farrow and Ball has an established leading place in the house design world, the colours now introduced will have been carefully thought about the added value they will bring to a property.

Naturally, this means that Kolorseal too has a greater offering when it comes to colour matching for window, door and roofline projects.  For manufacturers, this will broaden their business horizon as Kolorseal is able to match the Farrow and Ball palettes perfectly.”

Broccoli Brown, Etruscan Red and Sap Green have been brought back from the Farrow and Ball archive to provide stunning warm tone finishes to renovation or new build projects.

These colours exude warmth and nostalgia, inspiring homeowners to create inspiring looks in a very understated way.

Deborah continues, “Recently, we have seen the desire to make changes to the greys and charcoals that have been so popular for years.  Today designers, homeowners and specifiers are looking to create a homely feel while still being able to make a powerful statement.

The new clay shade of Naperon or the terracotta style Marmelo provide an earthiness, as  homeowners are currently craving warmer tones for their properties.

Interior windows for example can be colour coated to complement, tongue and groove panelling in a kitchen for example. Broccoli Brown would sit exceptionally well with Duster or Marmelo.”

For Deborah, new colours bring new opportunities in terms of design and ROI – “learning to understand colour charts and which ones work well together, will bring added advantages and greater profit margins for those with the right understanding of how colours work together.

The Kolorseal team is always available to discuss and advise on any colour coating project – whether bolder looks for urban transformations or more muted and subtle tones for traditional property types.”
